authorize an increase in paternity leave for active duty fathers from the current 10 days to 21 days.

Created by K.B. on May 19, 2013

Currently active duty fathers are allowed 10 days paternity leave and it should be increased to at least 21 days. A father is as equal a parent as a mother and if ample leave is allowed for a mother, it should be allowed for the father. It would be fair and healthy to extend paternity leave to allow enough time to adjust to this new role as well as cement a relationship with the newborn.
