In efforts to increase the current security posture abourd military and government installations, qualified service members should be granted the authority to carry concealed firearms. These service members should meet the following criteria:
1. Maintain a current qualification on the M9 service pistol.
2. Possess a concealed carry permit from either your current state or the state of your home of record.
3. Maintain and carry on your person a Command Authorization letter from the first O-5 or higher in your chain of command authorizing you to carry the concealed firearms aboard the installation.
This action would greatly increase the security aboard military and governmnet installations while posing a tremendous determent to would be attackers.
