Authorize U.S. military members to carry loaded firearms while on base for personal protection.

Created by A.T. on April 03, 2014

U.S. Service Members are currently unauthorized to carry loaded firearms while on base for personal safety and security. Currently, U.S. Service Members rely on Military Police and guards in order to respond to active shooters and other potential attacks. The delay in response results in a greater loss of life.

We petition to implement policy, law, and or regulation that will enable U.S. Service Members to carry loaded firearms on base. Service Members should not be denied their inalienable right to self-defense---the same that they are afforded while deployed in a combat zone.

The most professional war fighters this world has seen should not be left defenseless while diligently serving this nation---in peace time or war time.
