Require all future US government facilities to incorporate green energy, including solar panels, into their design

The US government, dedicated to avoiding the effects of climate change, should be leading the way in promoting clean energy. To that end, all new government building constructions and major renovations should be required to use commercial off-the-shelf green energy technologies, such as solar panels, wind energy, etc. in their construction plans. Furthermore, all government buildings, facilities, and installations should be required to install electric vehicle charging station infrastructure to promote zero emissions vehicle usage.
