Authorized persons can use weapons at authorized locations, we can enforce this by using technology to save innocents

We use state of the art technology to protect everything even tiny electronic gadgets but not those that can kill tens of innocent people when goes into wrong hands. Please limit the use of assault weapons to a predefined geographic area by using GPS, finger print readers and other technologies, i.e. as long as you are in your designated premises (say at your home), you are allowed to protect yourself and your family but when somebody takes it outside it will automatically deactivates the weapon. The magic is that when it is back to where it belongs it works again. When it goes to hand guns we could simply use finger print readers so only those that are authorized can operate them, i.e. only you can carry it and protect yourself, it doesn't work for anybody else.
