Some segments of the American population have fought extremely hard to gain or maintain their civil rights as an American. I have a brother-in-law whom was convicted of a felony drug charge 25 years ago, but today he still does not have the right to vote. He since has not been convicted of any other felony crimes, but today he still does not have the right to vote. In the state of Florida, we have contingences to restore voter rights, but the process is purposely difficult. I feel it is every American's right to vote despite of felony convictions, so the least we can do is to restore their rights automatically. Felons pay taxes, so felons should have the right to vote.
