Illegal court costs over 30 years old have been placed upon me and have gained interest over that period of time. No contact or communication was made to me until I tried to get my rights restored last year. Without this debt that I have already served the time for, I would have been able to vote. I feel it is a violation of my civil rights to try and collect on a debt that started out at less than a hundred dollars, but now exceeds $2000,00 and gaining. I am a 65 year old, disabled, and a senior citizen. As it stands, I am indigent and may never get the opportunity to vote. I feel stripped of my dignity, humanity, and civil rights.
