In the 2012 Presidential Election thousands of military personnel had their ballots lost or didn't get the opportunity to vote at all.
President Obama is in favor of restricting the active duty military's right to vote because it is "too expensive." The entire premise of the 27th amendment to lower the voting age to 18 was for the soldiers that could be drafted at 18 and couldn't even vote to have a say in who is their commander-in-chief.
Why would now be a good time to take that away when Obama's motto for this election was, 'get out the vote.' If they are willing to risk their lives for the country, i think we can spare the money to allow them their constitutional right.
