War between Israel and Iran seems increasingly inevitable. But should Israel attack Iran (or vice versa), the region would be thrown into utter disarray, and Congress would likely push for American support of Israel and another war we simply cannot afford. That so much of this stems from bigotry or religious racism between two sides of the same coin, we have no business being a part of this toss unless it's to put the coin down and say to both sides: Stop. So, while concerns for Iran building or using WMDs may be real, we cannot pretend that Israel gets to use this as an opportunity to harass, bully, or wage war on a weak regime that could be dealt with in a peaceful manner. Please vow to avoid war at all costs and to make clear to Israel to use a peaceful means to face Iran.
