A1C Stone, unarmed and without regard for his own life or limb, received serious injuries while intervening in a terrorist event, and leading others to combat an armed terrorist aboard a train in France on 21 Aug 2015. The suspect was armed with an AKM assault rifle, 270 rounds of ammunition, a Luger M80 automatic pistol with full cartridge, a box-cutter, and a container of gasoline. The suspect was charged by French Prosecutors with attempted murder, attempted mass murder and membership in a terrorist organization, because the gunman allegedly wanted to kill all the passengers on the train. For his intercession and bravery, A1C Stone was awarded the Legion of Honor, the highest civilian award in France. A1C Stone serves 24/7 in defense of freedom, and meets criteria for the Purple Heart.
