While higher education is necessary to provide a decent standard of living to our children, those who had the children first may struggle to provide a decent standard to their children while they attend school for years. Attending school conflicts with overtime work hours. Some students who have no children struggle to maintain an acceptable GPA, so it is no surprise that the struggle would be even more difficult for parents. Please consider awarding a federal grant to full time students with children who maintain a 3.0+ GPA for the purchase of items for their children such as clothes and Christmas.
