The men and women of the Armed Services worked tirelessly together to provide the cordon for the President, Vice President, dignitaries, and parade members in the 2013 Inauguration. For many, the work of this historical day began at 1:00 AM and didn't cease until around 8:00 in the evening. This does not include the days spent organizing and rehearsing the event in the weeks leading up to the ceremony.
For their dedication, these proud men and women should be recognized with the Joint Service Commendation Medal, instead of their above and beyond efforts going unappreciated by senior leadership and officials.
