Award Astronaut Scott J. Kelly the Congressional Space Medal of Honor for his year long mission in space.

Created by M.W. on March 03, 2016

Astronaut Scott J. Kelly has spent that last year of his life aboard the International Space Station with the sole purpose of expanding the limits of manned space flight. Captain Kelly has taken on great personal risk in service of science and all humanity. Without the sacrifice of Scott Kelly and his family, our scientists would not be able to study the effects of long duration space flight on the human body. It’s these very experiments that will help pave the way for future missions to Mars and beyond. His sacrifice and service to the United States of America and mankind as a whole is nothing short of heroic.
