Bob Ross was an amazing educator who influenced the lives of countless people through his television and in-person appearances. The United States government should recognize Mr. Ross's contributions to American culture and arts by awarding him a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Mr. Ross, a veteran of the Air Force, created the television show The Joy of Painting, which presents creating art in about the most positive manner ever put to film. His gentle nature, encouraging words, and wonderful techniques influenced an entire generation.
