Sgt. Peralta shielded his fellow Marines from a live grenade with his own body, and was awarded the Navy Cross, but the sacrifice he made, not to mention the sheer bravery and gallantry of his actions, deserves our nation's highest honor. His family deserves to see him honored this way, and to do any less suggests a total disrespect for his sacrifice.
