Award the Medal of Honor to Sergeant Major Brad Kasal. SGT MAJ Brad Kasal was wounded in a firefight in Fallujah, Iraq, November 13, 2004. Despite multiple gunshot wounds, and having been wounded in 43 different places of his body by a fragmentation grenade which he absorbed with his body to shield his wounded teammate, SGT MAJ Kasal continued to fight against insurgents. After being offered extraction and medical assistance, and with less than 60 percent of blood in his body, he refused to stop fighting until his fellow Marines were known to be safe. His actions exemplify the highest personal conduct and moral standards possible by a United States Marine, and duly qualify him to receive this nation's highest award.
