Award Dr. Lee Silverman, the hero of the Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital shooting, with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Created by J.F. on July 26, 2014

Dr. Lee Silverman, MD, showed extreme bravery, conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity, above and beyond any such courage or action that would ever be asked of a medical physician, when he was shot twice by his patient (who has already executed his social worker) in the shooting at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital on Thursday, July 24, 2014, and returned fire, striking the shooter multiple time, and ending a potential massacre before it went any further. As such, he deserves to be recognized and honored by the President of the United States with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
