Award Edward Snowden the Presidential Medal of Freedom

Created by C.S. on June 09, 2013

In keeping with the description for the "Presidential Medal of Freedom" We the People find that Edward Snowden not only meets but exceeds the criteria of the award. For his actions regarding the whistle-blowing of the secret NSA program "PRISM".

Edwards has clearly demonstrated his patriotism and as wrote in the first point of Executive Order 9586, we find no better candidate for this award.

Executive Order 9586:

"There is hereby established a medal to be known as the Medal of Freedom... ... who has performed a meritorious act or service which has aided the United States in the prosecution of a war against an enemy or enemies and for which an award of another United States medal or decoration is considered inappropriate."
