Award Elizabeth Laird, “The Hug Lady” from Fort Hood Texas, the Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award given.

Created by J.H. on June 10, 2014

Elizabeth Laird, "The Hug Lady" has been a mainstay for our soldiers leaving and returning from deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan for the past 10 years. Her love for the United States and love and commitment to our soldiers, airmen and sailors, whether hugging then as they leave and return, or hugging them when she sees them on the street here at home, is undeniably worth her being recognized by our President, Congress and everyone else who loves this country and wants to see it protected.
