Award Harriet Tubman (posthumously) the Presidential Medal of Freedom. She's never received it. It's time.

Created by J.W. on May 14, 2015

Harriet Tubman, whose image is being considered for the face of the $20 bill, should receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Her efforts of leading hundreds of slaves to freedom with the Underground Railroad have never been recognized by the Executive Branch, and this is long overdue. I can't think of a person more deserving. Martin Luther King received one posthumously, and so should she.
