Nobody has done as much to represent the highest ideals of Journalism as has Jon (Liebowitz) Stewart. In furthering the DNC agenda disguised as a comic, he has guaranteed his place in the pantheon of those greats who tell us when to be smug, self-righteous, disingenuous or dishonest in the Greater Cause.
He taught us to hate, and then blamed others for the hate. He taught us to mock and sneer as a substitute for rational debate. He pretended to bemoan a system of hyper-partisanship while creating exactly that atmosphere.
Jon Stewart deserves the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
