Whereas, deceased American citizen, aid worker, and human rights activist Kayla Jean Mueller heroically sacrificed herself to help people in America, India, and Syria, and even renounced a chance at escape from captivity so several Yazidi girls could escape more easily; was kidnapped by one of America’s deadliest enemies, the “Islamic State”, a.k.a. ISIS, and perished in captivity; courageously endured brutal torture and abuse by her terroristic kidnappers; exemplified American fortitude, female courage, and religious faith under fire; inspirationally used her liberty to go to the Middle East and elsewhere and help others, showing that freedom is not just about self-service, but also about care and concern for those in need: the President should award her the Medal of Freedom forthwith.
