Award Lt Col Scott Ostrow, US Air Force (Retired) the promotion to Colonel he earned while serving on Active Duty.

Created by S.O. on November 15, 2012

While serving on Active Duty in an Active Guard and Reserve (AGR) position, Lt Col Scott Ostrow was selected for promotion to Colonel (0-6) but was denied an 0-6 position and was made to retire as a Lt Colonel (0-5).

Lt Col Ostrow petitioned the Board of Corrections of Military Records (BCMR), but was denied even though he he stated that he was not looking for a raise in his retirement pay but just recognition as a colonel.

Lt Col Ostrow still serves his country as a high school Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) instructor.
