Marine Major (retired) Brian Chontosh was awarded the Navy Cross (our nation's second highest award), for heroic actions around Baghdad, Iraq on March 25, 2003.
Maj. Chontosh was overlooked for the Medal of Honor, and it is the duty of every patriotic American that hears his story, to petition our government on his behalf, so that we may right this injustice.
The following line is taken from his official Navy Cross citation:
"When his audacious attack ended, he had cleared over 200 meters of the enemy trench, killing more than 20 enemy soldiers and wounding several others."
He did this by himself, to save his men! Lets give this Marine the award he deserves.
