Award the Medal of Freedom to the killed MIT officer, and injured MBTA officer.

Created by J.M. on April 19, 2013

First responders defend our freedom at home daily. On April 19th, an MIT officer was killed, and an MBTA officer was injured in the line of duty while defending against what appears to be foreign terrorists in Boston. We the people believe these two officers should both receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom. While our military does a great job defending our freedom abroad, sometimes we must fight them a home. This responsibility falls on our first responders, and those who defend us in this role should be honored with the same respect as our military heroes.
