This petition respectfully requests the President of the United States to use his authority and prerogative to award the Medal of Freedom to a gallant lady and gentleman, former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, and her husband US Navy Captain (Ret.) Mark Kelly, in honor of their extraordinary service to the nation on the subject of responsible firearms regulation.
