When A Gunman Broke Into Sandy Hook Elementary School and Killed Twenty Innocent Children, These Six Extraordinary Individuals gave Their Lives For The Safety Of The Children Whose Care They Were Placed! They Went Beyond The Call Of Duty Of A Teaching Professional. By Definition, The Presidential Medal Of Freedom is Awarded To Individuals that show "an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors". It Is Our Believe That These Six Women's Actions Embody The Qualifications Of This Award.
