This petition is to appeal to the administration to award Sgt. Rafael Peralta the Medal of Honor for his courageous actions on the battle field in Iraq in 2004, where when his body smothered a grenade. Sgt. Peralta died saving the lives of other Mariines.
He was denied this honor by Leon Panetta because the man wasn't conscious when he smothered it? Please rescind this denial and honor this man for his courage, honor his death and his family.
