award the Medal of Honor to USMC helicopter pilots Jeb Seagle, Pat Giguere and Jeff Scharver for self sacrifice.

Created by A.S. on June 22, 2013

Three US Marine Cobra attack helicopter pilots died to save another during the 1983 invasion of Grenada. One distracted enemy forces away from his friend by allowing himself to be captured and executed, the other two single handedly kept dozens of enemy forces away from the crash site but were killed just before reinforcements arrived. Two of the pilots were recommended for the Medal of Honor after the action, but did not receive it. The Medal of Honor is America's highest award for bravery given for extreme heroism and self sacrifice, which all three of these men showed.
