Our country was built on the courage and passion of our fellow Americans. So when One Direction won the VMA for "Song of Summer" over Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" it was an embarrassing slap to the face of all Americans.
To think the Tweens of our future are willing to shaft the epitome of the American spirit that is Miley for 5 badly dressed Brits really makes me sad.
Miley contributed a great hit to our American summer. A summer of BBQs. A summer of Sun. A summer of Fun, and that President Obama is what America is about. FUN.
Please don't neglect America's sweetheart Mr. President, she gave us great hits like "Party in the USA" and introduced the miracles of twerking to America. Mr. President as formal request please overturn this atrocity. A VMA for Miley is a VMA for America.
