Mr. George Takei has contributed greatly in advancing human rights within our nation, specifically for people who have identified themselves as LGBTIQ+ as well as spreading awareness of crimes committed by the United States against Japanese Americans during the Second World War, among other things. Even now, Takei is advancing communication and understanding to historically misrepresented minorities and fighting against bigotry and xenophobia. Despite this, the government of the United States has not acknowledge his efforts. His unique contribution for human rights in our country and all over the world should be acknowledge with our nation's highest award.
