The second amendment to our Constitution was written over 200 years ago at a time when weaponry capable of firing hundreds of rounds in seconds was inconceivable. There is NO NEED for non-military citizens to have assault weapons whose sole purpose is to kill human beings.The majority of reasonable Americans support common sense and strongly advocate aggressively limiting access to assault weapons. Piers Morgan and others have been using their visibility in the media to clearly advocate in favor of stronger gun controls in America and we as Americans should fully support and laud his efforts.
