Award the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously to Dawn Hochsprung, Victoria Soto, and Mary Sherlach.

Created by A.H. on December 17, 2012

Dawn Hochsprung and Mary Sherlach wasted no time in attempting to confront and stop Adam Lanza from causing the mass havoc and violence in Sandy Hook Elementary school. Though both women were killed in their attempt, their bravery and courage in attempting to shield their students from harm is one of the most commendable acts in recent memory and is truly deserving of the PMoF. Victoria Soto showed unimaginable valor and personal integrity when she attempted to deceive the Sandy Hook attacker and protect the students under her charge, for which she gave her life. All three women showed the true mettle of their character in this horrible tragedy. If any American is deserving of the Presidential Medal of Freedom it is they.
