Award the The Presidential Medal of Freedom to Victoria Soto, who gave her life so that her students could live

Created by S.D. on December 15, 2012

Victoria Soto was a teacher at Sandy Hook School. When the shooting began on December 14, 2012, she hid her students in cabinets and closets. When the shooter entered her classroom, she told him that the students had been moved to a different part of the school. He shot and killed her. Her actions and sacrifice saved each and every one of her students. Ms. Soto's actions are deserving of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
