Veterans awards 100% Permanent & Total disability for PTSD due to service connection should be awarded Purple Hearts for their military service that resulted in injury just like every other service member without discrimination.
Currently veterans with 100% P&T PTSD as verified by the Veterans Administration (the authority of military PTSD conditions) are discriminated against because it is a mental condition resulting from trauma VS physical injusy but is classified by the VA as a military service connected injury that warrants treatment the same as any physical service connected injury award the Purple Heart currently.
As such, equal treatment should be afforded vets with 100% service connected PTSD as a matter of law per the CFR and should be amended by Executive Order.
