SFC Cashe rescued 6 fellow Soldiers from a burning vehicle, sustaining fatal burns while doing so. Cashed returned to the flaming vehicle multiple times, braving enemy fire and his own severe wounds. Cashe then refused MEDEVAC until all of his men were loaded first. SFC Cashe later died of his wounds. His old BN and BDE commanders have sent statements recommending Cashe for the Medal of Honor now that the whole truth is know.
SFC Cashe's actions are deserving of the Medal of Honor.
