if you read Sgt Brown's Silver Star citation and compare it to the last 100 years worth of Medal of Honor citations you will see she deserves the Medal of Honor. she saved lives by putting herself in harms way while some of her male counterparts cowered in fear. she drug people who were wounded that were twice her size out of the line of heavy enemy fire shielding them at times with her body...she was only awarded a Silver star because the 82nd Airborne and more specifically her unit level command wouldnt admit that a female was braver in heavy fire than males older and more "experienced" than her. i think this is wrong and is an example of an out dated archaic "good ole boy" culture that is still rampant in the military.this is a grave injustice that should be corrected !!!!!
