I would like the president to award The Presidential Medal of Freedom. Stan Lee is the creator of many fictional characters that we take for granted. These include Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, and Thor, just to name a few. These have become a part of our American culture and heritage. They have gone from the comic book page to the movie screen and almost every product imaginable in between. They are recognized around the world as truly American icons. The comics Stan Lee created were ground breaking by being the first to tackle hard issues like racism and drug addiction. Before this, Stan Lee was a World War II veteran. To this day he is creating and working even though he is approaching 90 years of age. Stan Lee is a one of a kind American and an inspirational hero.
