Award the TAX EXEMPTION status to spouses of deceased veterans who were 100% disabled & service connected in state of NJ

Created by C.E. on October 16, 2014

The premise behind this is to have the United States of America honor spouses of deceased veterans, who were 100% service connected & disabled. The benefits that the deceased veteran has is inherited by his/her spouse at time of death, as long as living spouse does not remarry. I was informed by my township of Rahway, NJ, The Veterans Administration and Senator Scutari office that I am ineligible because my husband did not purchase the home before he died. The Real Estate exemption/Division of taxation for NJ states any surviving spouse that is not remarried is eligible for the tax exemption under the deceased 100% service connected veteran. How many others are going through this? Let's come together for spouses of deceased veterans who are being misled & denied entitled benefits. Please!!
