Award the teachers and staff survivors and non survivors of the Sandy Hook Elementary/Conecticut the Medal of Valor.

Without disrespect to branches of the U.S. Military I and the undersigned humbly request that the Congressional Medal of Valor; which is usually reserved for Millitary personel who go above and beyond the call of duty, be considered and besowed upon the teachers and staff of the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Conecticut. These persons went above and beyond the call of duty on December 14th 2012 shielding children from harm and some giving their lives to do so. In honor of their actions I and the undersigned believe that the Medal of valor restriction to millitary personel should be momentarrily suspended to honor these great heroes in America that in the heat of a moment they did so go above and beyond in their actions. The honor should be besowed to survivors and non-survivors alike.
