Not speaking for other veterans who have been awarded compensation due to health issues that are "PRESUMED" to have been caused by being EXPOSED TO AGENT ORANGE during their tour(s) of duty in Vietnam and Korea, I believe we deserve our own Decoration. I do not want to belittle THE PURPLE HEART, or those who earned it, but I have been awarded 100% financial compensation for my health issues. I am PERMANENTLY AND TOTALLY disabled. I have not received a DECORATION OR AWARD, nor have my permanent MILITARY RECORD FILES been annotated to reflect that I was WOUNDED by AGENT ORANGE. According to existing REGULATIONS, no medals can be awarded if the injury was due to enemy fire. The discrimination must stop. WE DESERVE OUR own DECORATION and AWARD for the injuries we suffered.
