Awards for over population

Created by N.G. on June 07, 2013

I am a single person with no children who recently lost their job. I spent a month looking for something that paid as well as I was making but could find nothing. In the mean time I took a job that pays significantly less. I thought that perhaps until I could get on my feet I would try and get help from the government considering I too am a tax payer. I was surprised to find that unless I have children there is nothing you people will do for me. I am hanging on my a string and I am working trying to make ends meet, however if I am working then I make too much. So you are telling me I need to quit my job and have a child before you consider me worth helping? If that is the case I would no longer like my taxes to go to the welfare program. Why pay for something that will not help me?
