This petition calls for an end to the practice of using a person's credit rating to deny them employment in cases where the credit rating has no relation to the job. Eight states have enacted such legislation, but a national ban is needed. In these days of high unemployment and discrimination against job candidates (i.e. age, time out of work, etc.) employers need fewer excuses not to hire a candidate.
