For the safety and peace of mind for all honest citizens, herewith petition for background checks and a 30 day waiting period to purchase any knife over 2 1/2" in length. Further limit to one purchase per 30 days and the purchaser also be required to pass a blade safety/responsibility course. Further, ban all military type blades and tomahawks from private ownership of individuals. Enact an 21 year age limit to purchase and possess any legally approved knife.
