The American, middle class is suffering. We are taxed without the loopholes the rich are given, and disqualified from the handouts the lower class is given. We are forced to watch as multi-billion dollar organizations are given bailouts that are squandered. Banks have been given billions of dollars, and they in turn raise interest rates to unforgivable levels. Simultaneously, no real profit can be made by investing money toward retirement; credit card interest will always trump it. We are forced to live off credit, and we are being gouged by greedy banking corporations. Almost all homes are bought with bank loans with interest rates that typically double the amount of the actual worth of the home. We cannot go on like this much longer.
