GOVERNMENT BAILOUT OF HOSTESS
Taking into account the current economic crises caused by the loss of American jobs;
Noting with deep concern the job shortages and the reduction of American manufacturing jobs,
Recognizing that Hostess is a vital American manufacturer that has been in business since 1930,
Recognizing that 18,500 workers unemployed will cause serious economic hardship,
1. REQUESTS that the U.S. Government bailout Hostess and force the factories to remain open.
2. URGES the U.S. Government to force both parties (Hostess and Labor) to reach an immediate deal.
3. REQUESTS that the U.S. Government makes Twinkies a government protected food and publicly recognizes Twinkies as an American national treasure.
