balance the budget by cutting spending now, not by taking more money from the people in taxes and fees.

The founders of the United States believed in limited government, by the people and for the people. Government spending is out of control. The government is taking more and more of the property of the citizens to create institutions that the founders would have never dreamed of (or believed that the well thought out Constitution would protect them from). We have a problem in the country with too much spending, not the government not taking enough from its citizens. Let's get back to the limited government that this country was founded upon.
