We the people are petitioning the US government, in the spirit of fairness, liberty and compassion, to request that the government reform its policies and practices such that government services are no longer being terminated for lack of funding while massive amounts of social assistance is simultaneously given away with no expectation of reciprocation. Assistance is humane and appreciated, but if it is given without conditions then it easily becomes a lifestyle choice. Fostering a large and growing population of permanent government dependents is not conducive to freedom or democracy. It erodes personal dignity, and it creates a conflict of interest. It is our opinion that unreciprocated assistance is a legalized form of vote purchasing that ultimately leads to a socialist nation.
