The leaders of our country are getting another raise in 2013. I realize it's only $900 but why should they get any raise while cutting funding for the rest of Americans.
Our seniors may have to take a pay cut again, our veteran's may have to take a pay cut again, and our kids may not get the basic essentials of an education because of the cuts to school funding.
People can't afford food or simple life sustaining medication. Our veterans who fought in a war THEY DID NOT authorize can't even get treatment for their battle injuries.
We spend a lot of money on defense and justly so, but how can we pay to defend the country and not fund the country itself ?
Our congressional and executive need to cut their salaries and raise their retirement age to 65 no matter how long they served.
