Since the 1973 decision of Roe v. Wade, 54 MILLION (that is 54,000,000) children have died by abortions performed in the US. During that same time 535,000 people have died as a result of hand guns. For every person killed by a handgun, 100 children were killed by abortion. Where is the greater loss of life? Abortions should be banned as a form of birth control. It can still be allowed in instances of rape or incest or if the mother's life is medically at risk.
If we are a society that is so gravely concerned with saving innocent life, then let's start with the most innocent lives of all.
